Faced with the high cost of skilled labor in Stockholm, the renovation of the apartment was carried out independently. Standard hardware store materials and a DIY approach defined the process and the final result. The space retains a deliberately raw and unfinished appearance.

The intervention included exposing the load-bearing brick wall by removing the plaster, uncovering the original solid wooden wall behind the plasterboard, and applying raw gypsum plaster to selected walls and ceilings. Solid larch boards were used for the flooring, contributing to a tactile atmosphere reminiscent of a workshop.

All materials were sourced locally and selected for their affordability. The space remains in a state of ongoing transformation—unfinished, open to change, and shaped by the abstraction of its elements.
