A 30 m² timber volume extends an existing house. The dark-stained wooden façade creates a visual link to the original structure while remaining distinct as its own element.
Large glass openings bring in daylight and open the space to the garden. A timber canopy projects outward, forming a sheltered transition between inside and out.
Interior surfaces are reduced to a few materials: light-colored wooden panels for walls and ceilings, polished concrete for the floor. Built-in cabinetry continues the material logic throughout.
The extension provides new living space and responds to the spatial and functional needs of the household – in close dialogue with its immediate setting.
