Trade fairs transform quickly: set up, display, dismantle. Spaces appear and disappear within days. Our booth for the art bookstore Konst-ig at the Stockholm Furniture Fair explores this ephemerality—a concept questioning material, use, and time.
The installation is made of used tires. Objects built for motion become a static structure. Books are placed within this raw setting— knowledge meeting material that belongs to a cycle.
A white floor becomes a surface for traces. Each step marks the space. Use becomes visible, wear becomes memory. After three days, the stand is gone, the tires are recycled. What remains is a question: Can temporary spaces leave lasting traces?
